Sensei Corey Green goes onto This and That on December 11th 2023 with James Howard. This was his 2nd interview with the host of this show. The Deadly Art of Survival Magazine is the #1 Selling Martial Arts Magazine in the World with over 40 million readers in 106 countries. Green speaks of meeting his inspiration, Ralph Macchio and him being a USANKF Instructor that certifies Sensei's and their instructors to become USANKF judges and eventual referees.

Little Big Shots Battle, Kumite, Regional Qualifier (pt 1)

A lot of people think young children are all so cute! We understand that concept, however, we think that "Our Little Big Shots" are cute and a cut above the rest. No, we do not think that "Our Little Big Shots" are better than everybody else. We remind them to stay humble. We simply hold them to a very high standard! We hold these particular (Little Big Shot) children to a very high standard. The methods we use to teach their children are the same as any other child except for the fact is that they hold themselves to a high standard. In the world we live in currently, many children are lacking in several areas of character development such as; grit, determination, perseverance, confidence, manners, respect, and self-discipline. They want everything now (no patience) and do not want to work hard for it. How did we get here as a society? It is quite simple. Parents of today want their children to have more than they had growing up but somehow do not remember what was taught to most of them. The parents had to work for things and their parents made their children accountable. Today, parents just simply give their children what they want and need. They give them lots of unneccessary praise when the little achievements have been met while not waiting to praise when the children really needs it. The overuse of praise over time mean's nothing. By the time they reach age 9, 10, or 11 they are unmotivated, unappreciative, uncooperative, and have low confidence. We have to work with these children and try to boost their confidence carefully and tactically. We live in a time where these things shouldn't have to be the way they are. Now we have to deal with these situations and try to improve them. What we want many people to realize is that if the children of today and those parents of those children don't get their children on the straight and narrow path then we will have to deal with these children as adults down the road. We have to prepare for the future. Speaking of the future, the children you are about to witness or have already witnessed in the video are the future. They will be the future in their respective fields (of work) but also the future of karate (if they stick with it). From this video you can see that we raised the bar for our 5 year old's but not everyone else has. We need to raise the standard for young children today in terms of building character and instill life long attributes of good manners, respect, and self-discipline. It is not selfish to want these things because it makes everyone as a whole better for the present and many years to come. This weekend, we can honestly say that many were not ready for what we were ready to dish out. Message from the Sensei... I, the Sensei, didn't have the opportunity to see these matches seeing that I was officiating in another ring. I knew they would do well however, I didn't witness any of the matches seeing I was in another ring officiating. I am so proud of what these "Little Big Shots" did this day. Lastly, the haters (internet trolls) are going to hate but we know what's up! CNN Reports Our Karate Therapy Changes Boys Life. 1st of 13 Historical Accomplishments for GK!

Brandon Earnshaw, in 2006 became the first person with autism to qualify for the U.S. Karate Nationals in the non-handicap division. Brandon won gold the next year in the Boys 16 and under disabled division and still compete amongst those without disabilities. He won silver the following year (2008) in the 16 and under disabled division. He went on to graduate high school. He is happily married and has a child of his own. He is living his best life and his wife is an amazing woman. Brandon's mom Alina went on and became an elementary school teacher. The story continues... Go to Greenskarate.com for more info. Taikyoku Shodan Kata

This video shows the new student(s) the direction of the first kata. Taikyoku Shodan is the first kata of our 21 katas. This kata is for Yellow Belt. The student must also know their first 2 combinations and counter attacking techniques as well. Students are now informed on where to look for this info on our channel. This video is for students that are currently training with Green's Karate and the Nihon Karate Do Kenwa Kai. This short video does not teach how to do the front stance or the downward block or other important information to know how to do it correctly. This video is for reference and for our karate students to study at home or the office. Mans Saves Families Lives with Bare Hands

A true story from several years ago about a man that had no nothing to lose and everything to gain include his life and his families lives. Little did I know that he would end up using his self-defense in such a short amount of time. You never know when it might have to be used to save your life or the lives of others. While this man was in and out of jail because of something that most would consider self-defense, he came in and told me of the judicial process he was going through. I never will forget his name and due to his privacy, I haven't released his name for him to keep his privacy. I remember the story very well and never forget the other small details about his situation such as the cop asking my address for my dojo and other things.
