4 History Making Accomplishments at Green's Karate:
2006: Sensei Green taught the "first person in history with autism to qualify and compete in the U.S. Karate Nationals in the non-handicap division". This story was featured on CNN News. 2010: Sensei Green taught the "first female in history with autism to qualify and compete in the U.S. Karate Nationals in the non-handicap division".
2012: Sensei Green taught the "first blind female in history to qualify and compete for the U.S. Karate Nationals in the non-handicap division". Katie Whipple also made history by winning the "first silver medal for a blind female in the 18-34 year old Women's Beginner kata division". Katie trained 7 months total to win silver and had no previous training. Here is the link to the Youtube video of her qualifying performance. Summer Camps
Most summer camps are 3-day camps and are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are from 9A.M. to 12P.M. Children are encouraged to bring a snack and a great attitude! We also will have special needs summer camps this year and will be from 9:00A.M. to 10:30A.M. on the same days as our 3-day camps. We have one 40-hour camp held at the end of June and are from 9:30A.M. to 4:00P.M. For this camp bring lunch and snacks. Please call ahead at least one week or email us at greenskarate@gmail.com to R.S.V.P.
6-person minimum for any camp required. Payment is due for entire camp by first day to camp starting. We will list the camp weeks with the first day of the week as the start date for the camp. Please call or email if you have any questions! Thank You!
