News and Upcoming School Events

Green's Karate has many upcoming events for our students and school families. Refer to this page to find out about upcoming tournaments, promotion testing, school functions and other school related information.

We will also be posting News Bulletins or pertinent information regarding the school, it's students, it's instructors, or the Master. The Calendar will also list these items as well. Make sure you print out the school calendar each month for easy reference.

Demonstrations Team 6/06/04 (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
Demonstrations Team is called Demo Team by most martial arts students. In order to qualify you need to be a yellow belt if under 16 years of age. Team (3 students) Kata, skits, theatrical acting, specialized and complicated kicking will demonstrate how effective and non-effective a particular kick can be. You'll learn spinning, jumping, and how to combine the two pricniples to demonstrate excellent kicking ability. Their are names for kicks that can be physically done without special wires or technology. Kicks such as the wheelbarrow kick, jump-spinning back kick, butterfly kick, hurricane/tornado kick, Capeoeta kicks, and more. Call and reserve your spot today!

Healthy Kids Day 4/02/05 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Healthy Kids Day was held at the Hamilton Place Mall last year. It is a day to help promote the health and well being of children. This year we will have the Healthy Kids Day at the Downtown YMCA. At this event, will have demonstrations and classes for people to participate in.

Stone Mountain Karate Championships 4/09/05 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
The Stone Mountain Karate Championships will be the first tournament that Green's Karate in Tennessee will be going to. It will be held in St. Albans, West Virginia. St. Alban's is 10 minutes from Charleston, West Virginia. The tournament is hosted by 8th Degree Black Belt Roger Jarrett. Roger Jarrett is the Secretary for the United States of America National Karate Do Federation.
